Salem networks

by Nina Peters
Exchange, strong networks and cooperation are an integral part of our pedagogy, as they introduce new ideas and motivation to Salem through the sharing of best practice.

Looking at the outside world, exchange, strong networks and cooperation are an integral part of our pedagogy. Those who embark on adventures, get to know other perspectives and accept challenges are more likely to develop into responsible global citizens capable of entering into dialogue.

Our founding membership of the international Round Square network, which is based on the pedagogical pillars of Salem, as well as individual partnerships with other schools worldwide, open up extraordinary opportunities for pupils to gain experience - whether through exchanges, conferences, service projects or study trips.

The Institute for Global Learning, the Internate Vereinigung (Boarding School Association), the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the Council of International Schools (CIS) also strengthen our development through benchmarking, further training and peer-to-peer exchange - and at the same time encourage us to remain true to our educational roots.

Our networks are not only open to pupils, but also to our employees: they bring fresh ideas and motivation to Salem through sharing best practice. Our partner schools - such as the Ermitage International School of France - are happy to open their doors and classrooms to us. We are also happy to give visitors an insight into Salem's pedagogical approach and we actively promote collegial exchange.
