Declaration of Accessibility

Schule Schloss Salem gGmbH is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continuously improve user-friendliness for all and apply the relevant standards (WCAG 2.2, BITV and the EN 301 549 standard) for accessibility. This declaration on digital accessibility applies to the Schule Schloss Salem gGmbH website published at https://www.schule-schloss-salem.de/.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

The website is currently not fully compliant with the technical requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0).

Non-accessible content

The follwing content is not accessible as it is not compatible with the underlying harmonised standard EN 301 549:

• There are images without labelling on all pages. It is difficult to navigate to the images with screen readers.
• There are links without link text on all pages.
• The contrast between text and background is too low on some pages.
• There is no language in the HTML on some pages.
• On some pages there are form fields without labelling. Navigation with screen readers to the form fields is difficult.
• On some pages there are headings that have no labelling or contain the aria-hidden attribute and are therefore not accessible for screen readers.
• The meta viewport prevents zooming on all pages. Deactivating the zoom makes page content more difficult to read for people with visual impairments.
• On individual pages, a superordinate element lacks the appropriate subordinate elements. This can confuse screen reader users, as they expect content but there is none.
• On several pages, links cannot be distinguished from the surrounding text.
• On individual pages, there are lists that contain elements that do not belong in lists. As a result, the lists may not be output correctly by assistive technologies.
