On Friday, 5 July 2024, we welcomed Dr Julia-Carolin Carbon and Simone Strotmeier from the Wolfgang Dürr Foundation in Stuttgart to Salem. On the initiative of Salem alumnus and the boarding school association member Dr Albert Dürr, the foundation has been supporting two scholarship students at our school for some time. 

In glorious summer weather, the Foundation Director and the Foundation Manager were given interesting insights into everyday life at our school and boarding school: they took part in the school assembly for Years 5-10, were given a tour of the school by a pupil and talked to various pupils. They were accompanied by one of their scholarship holders. Not only getting to know each other, but also the awareness of how well their ‘protégé’ is doing in Salem was very well received by everyone involved.

We are very grateful for the Wolfgang Dürr Foundation's commitment as an ‘opportunity provider’ and look forward to continuing our collaboration.
