Our team building day took place in class 6D1 on 25/09/2024. Led by two professional outdoor trainers, Rafaela and Jonathan, we had a great time. We started with a round of introductions where everyone had to state their name and a superpower. This was followed by a warm-up, which was a bit like martial arts and required a lot of concentration.
We had to walk in groups through a curved rope without touching it. There was a lot of chaos at the beginning, but we soon understood the task and managed the different levels of difficulty.
As a whole class, we were secret agents who had to steal an axe, a full watering can and a rubber chicken from a high-security prison using only a few tools. After a round of reflection on our work as a group, we planned a performance in groups. Some of us made 29 braids in a volunteer's hair. Others prepared an acrobatic show, while others translated "How much does a loaf of bread cost?" into English, Spanish, Cantonese, Russian and Korean. Two students had to make the trainers laugh. Another group came up with magic tricks.
Then we played 'Where's Kurt? We had to take the rubber chicken called Kurt away from the coaches and carry it across a finish line without being noticed.
At the end of the day we made a fire in groups and roasted apples and marshmallows.
It was a perfect day of fun and successful teamwork.
