Abendsportfest 2025

The most important question before this year's Abendsportfest was: What color will my team be? I was lucky—or rather, I hit the jackpot. Pink. The perfect color for my team of around 35 girls from Rentamt to College. Traditionally, the six girls' and boys' teams are led by the captains of the Salem International College teams. This task requires organizational skills, strong communication skills, and sometimes improvisation.

We college students arrived at Schloss Salem by bus just in time. There we received folders with the tournament schedule and the lists of names. Then it was time to get started: Amidst a colorful jumble of T-shirts, we gathered our teams, checked attendance, and spontaneously formed four sports teams for soccer, basketball, hockey, and volleyball. Despite the initial chaos, Team Pink came together—motivated, organized, in good spirits, and with glitter in their hair.

The games were exciting and loud. There was sweating, cheering, and many talents discovered. All four pink teams made it to the semifinals. In the end, we achieved great rankings: first place once, second place twice! After the last game, everyone gathered for the award ceremony. And what can I say: Team Pink won! The cheering was huge, and I was just so proud. Team Yellow prevailed among the boys. They also played strongly. It was a successful conclusion to an energetic Abendsportfest – and a wonderful end to the school year.
