As a founding member of the Round Square Conference, Salem is able to offer an attractive exchange programme with some of the more than 100 other affiliated schools. Year 9- 10 pupils can apply to attend one of the RSC schools for 8-12 weeks, while pupils from that school attend Salem in exchange.
To be accepted for the exchange programme in Salem, pupils must show a clear commitment to the school’s academic and social life. Since places are limited, only particularly eligible pupils may take part in the programme. Places are allocated by an internal selection procedure.
Salem also maintains exchange contacts with other select, high-calibre institutes such as Marlborough College in the UK, Loomis Chaffee and Tabor Academy in America, and Hilton College in South Africa.
Other partner schools are located in France (Lycée St.Vincent near Paris), Switzerland (Ecole Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande) and Spain (Colegio Alemán Alberto Durero in Seville).
The Lower school has an exchange with Institut de l'Assomption in Colmar, Alsace.
