From the east (from Ulm or Munich via Friedrichshafen):
To Überlingen or Salem, and from there to Owingen – Billafingen – Seelfingen. About 1 km past Seelfingen there is a small signpost "Schloss Hohenfels” on the right hand side with a tiny road leading uphill. Follow this road. The castle appears after about 1,5 km to the left after a sharp bend.
From the West (either from Switzerland or from Stuttgart via the A81):
At the Hegau Autobahn exit, take the A98 toward Lindau. This soon becomes the B31. Turn off at the Stockach East exit. Continue in the direction of Stockach, following signs for Pfullendorf/Winterspüren. Pass the villages of Winterspüren and Mahlspüren. Approximately 1 km. after Mahlspüren, take the right turn at the crossing in the direction of Owingen/Überlingen. (Note: At this crossing do not follow the signs that read 'Gemeinde Hohenfels'.) Drive on approximately 400 meters past the 'Gasthof Neumühle'. There will be a sign for 'Schloss Hohenfels'. Follow it on the left. You will now climb steeply uphill for approximately 1.5 kms. through woods until you reach the School grounds.
