The sponsor of Schule Schloss Salem is the non-profit association "Schule Schloss Salem e.V.". The Chairman of the Board of the Association is Prof. Dr. h.c. Robert Leicht.
Schule Schloss Salem has the legal form of a German gGmbH, i.e. a non-profit limited liability company). The business management of the gGmbH is conducted by Mr. Bernd Westermeyer (Headmaster), Mrs. Brigitte Mergenthaler (Academic Administration) and Mr. Christian Niederhofer (Business Management). The School is directed by a Senior Management Team which comprises the Heads of the three Salem boarding-school levels as well as the Business Management. The Supervisory Board (Aufsichtsrat) of the gGmbH is identical to that of the Board of the Association, "Schule Schloss Salem e.V.". Three external committees have been supporting the work at the School for decades now, and thereby contribute considerably towards Salem's success.
The Friends of Salem Association of Schule Schloss Salem finances and implements projects that support Salem's educational concept, but for which no permanent budget is available. Parents, colleagues and friends of Schule Schloss Salem belong to the Friends and Supporters Association. Anyone can become a member of the Friends and Supporters Association of Schule Schloss Salem.
The non-profit foundation Kurt-Hahn-Stiftung similarly promotes the children's development and education at Schule Schloss Salem. The main objective of this foundation is to enable talented and capable children and youths who are willing to support others, to attend Salem by being offered a scholarship, irrespective of their parents' income.
The Salem Alumni Association (ASV) comprises former Salem students from all the school years. The ASV pays special attention to the development of Schule Schloss Salem and supports it in many aspects, i.e. personally, financially and by contributing its ideas.
With the Salem Card you are able to make a personal contribution towards supporting the School.
